| Good start to the year not seen a sngle loco yet but oh so much snow and ice !!!
The station clock is an ongoing farce, basically there is an iconic clock above the ticket hall, it has broken down and it has taken taken over a year plus, still not there to repair it you should see the e-mails I have written to ONE and National Express about it. The picture is a lifelike replica made by a firm in Canada, lets see if it will turn up this year, look over the second ticket window nearest the road side of the station above and you will see the back plate for it. |
Now we know why they selected that colour scheme, it looks like a scene from Switzerland as the 0755 leaves for London on time despite tha worst snow for 18 years. What of course the 'customers ' did not know was there were no tubes or buses so they would not get to work anyway!! |
I could not find anything to take on Cambridge station on 2 February 2009, so note snow around doors, some of these failed to open due to wet and ice on my train. |
I have said it all in the introduction to this gallery, but i am fed up with no clock on the concourse, you have to go through the barriers before there is one. |

Bleak look on Cambridge station on 5 February 2009, there is a chance that the unit in the sidings is the one that yesterday caused the ECML to close at Hitchin, it was still there at 18.00. Note protection to the couplings on 170xxx in station. |
Friday 13th February 2009, yes snow again and floods at the time, I have not yet seen a proper engine since last year, thats why we have pictures of 317xxx's. The train is actually 30 secs early !!! |

Stansted express stock is used more often now on trains, but of couse it does not go to the airport. |
